IMAGES OF OUR PAST - ROAD SIDE PARKS - LAURENS COUNTY, GEORGIA

Do you remember when people traveled along two-lane highways
and stopped by the side of the road to eat their lunch or make a quick trip
into the bushes?  Here are some photographs of the last
road side park in Laurens County, Georgia.

There was a time back in the 1950s and 1960s when hundreds of these
roadside pit stops could be found in Georgia.

This road side park in located on U.S. Highway 319, northeast of East Dublin.
