IMAGES OF OUR PAST - WORLD WAR I CANON, AMERICAN LEGION, NORTH JEFFERSON STREET, 1960S

This canon was donated by the U.S. Government
to Laurens County in honor and memory of those
Laurens Countians who served World War I.  It originally
sat on the northwest corner of the courthouse square on
North Jefferson Street. It was later moved to the
American Legion home on North Jefferson Street and
later to its new home on Moore Station Road until
it was sold to an artillery collector in Wrightsville.
