IMAGES OF OUR PAST - DUBLIN'S RONNIE GAY IN "SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT"

Ronnie Gay, Lamar Jackson and Quinnon Sheffield were actual
troopers of the Georgia State Patrol when the movie was filmed
in 1977.  The troopers basically played themselves in this popular
movie  of the 1970s.

@ Ronnie Gay, I have never laughed so hard in a movie theater in my live.
Your GA Trooper buddie, Joel Rogers, was my next door neighbor, in Cherokee County.
Joel & Patsy, and a few other couples went to see Smokie and the Bandit.
Watching the Chase scene coming in on I-20, Joel was rolling on the floor in the theater, he was laughing so hard. The rest of us were laughing so hard, we were crying.
Thanks, for the great show, and the best memories I have of ever going to a movie.
