PIECES OF OUR PAST - THE AMERICAN RED CROSS NURSES - DUBLIN, GEORGIA 1917

The beginning of America's involvement in World War I began on April 6, 1917.  The American Red Cross came into prominence for its support of the war overseas and in the United States.  Pictured are local Red Cross nurses and a Yank posing in front of the Laurens County Courthouse circa 1917.
