IMAGES OF OUR POST - SIGHTS SELDOM SEEN BY THE SIDE OF THE ROAD - ALLENTOWN, GEORGIA - HISTORICAL MARKER

This marker, located at the northwest corner
of U.S. Hwy 80 and Ga. Hwy 112
in Allentown, Georgia was erected
by the John Ball Chapter of the
National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution
on October 12, 1934.

It marks the spot of the intersection of the
Carolina, West Florida and Savannah Lower
Creek Indian Trails at a traditional Indian
site and burial grounds and an early
white settlement and haven for refugee
