In the south part of Dublin near the Riverview Golf Course are Campanella and Tattnall Streets, which run from the end of lower South Washington Street. Tattnall Street is name for Nathaniel Tattnall, the driver for Dublin businessman and baseball team owner, Herschel Lovett. Lovett, who developed the real estate in the area named Campanella Street, the first African American catcher in the Major Leagues and the only street named for him in the United States. Only Ty Cobb, Bill Lucas, and Hank Aaron are the only other baseball players to have a street in Georgia named for them. Dublin Courier Herald, July 5, 1961
