YOU’RE GREENING ME - A report came in from Atlanta on March 17, 1931 (St. Patrick’s Day) that Patrick Ireland of Dublin, Georgia tried to enlist in the Marine corps. He was rejected for failing the eye color test. Ireland couldn’t differentiate the color green. Sounds like it was a slow day and some prankster was stretching the story.
