THE ET CETERA CHRONICLES - THE 1912 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.

In the 1912 presidential election,  Woodrow Wilson, a former Georgian, received 1118 votes, Teddy Roosevelt, who had family ties to Georgia, picked up 206 votes.  William Howard Taft, the incumbent Republican president, only got 26 ballots with his named marked on them.  Two voters in the Reedy Springs District near Rentz, were fed up with capitalism  and wanted a revolution when they chose the Socialist candidate Eugene Debbs.
