Dublin:  Population grew by 572% from 1890 to 1910.  (862 to 5,795)

Laurens:  Population grew by 36% from 1900 to 1910. 35,500
Negro Population grew by 6,206 or 54%.  White Population grew by 2,287 or 22%.  White Population 17,956  Negro Population 17,544

Land:  517,872 acres / 810 square miles: 1900
       496,657 acres / 776 square miles: 1910
Farms: 233,604 acres / 1910 45% of total land.

2073 land owners/ which represent 10,000 people, which makes about 25,000 landless/homeless people. 137 non resident owners own 36,070 acres of property.

235 Dublinites own county property.
93 own both city and county property.
These owners own 118,448 acres.

Dublin and non resident owners own 154,510 acres or 1/3 of the county.

In 1905, 13 men owned 1000 or more acres.

In 1910, 28 men owned 1000 or more acres.

The largest holding being 8,234 acres.

4,923 farms in 1910.  1,311 cultivated by owners (1,074 white and 237 black).  White population increased by 22% but white cultivated farms only increased by 9%.  73% of farms were cultivated by tenants.  Cultivation by owners dropped from 38% to 27%.  3,599 farms by tenants (1,370 white) and (2,027 black).

Farms in 1910 valued and 9.5 million by census and 7.0 million on the tax digest.

Negro ownership of property increased by 76%.  Total wealth increased by 322 percent.  Total wealth doubled during last 10 years.
