This artillery piece from World War One was presented to
Laurens County in honor and memory of the men
who served in the war. It was originally located on the
northwest corner of the courthouse square. It was moved
to the American Legion on North Jefferson Street and
again to the Legion's new headquarters on Moore Station Road.
The canon was sold to a Wrightsville
artillery collector in the 1990s.
