Bob Newman and his brothers of Carey, Bleckley County, Georgia were members of the Georgia Crackers during the World War II years.  As highly successful singers of early Country & Western music, they were often invited to appear in cowboy movies.

Bob Newman's greatest legacy was a song, which those of us who were alive in the 1960s would know.
