IMAGES OF OUR PAST - THE GUARDIANS OF THE FIRST NATIONAL SKYSCRAPER

Remember the days before the 1980s when men and boys gathered in downtown for an open season on pigeons.  These four sentinels were spotted about 10 years ago guarding Dublin's tallest building.

My Uncle Chandler Beasley, Sr. loved telling about those shoots. He was a dead shot with his Winchester Model 12 pump gun. Imagine the City Fathers sponsoring one of those today!
