THE ET CETERA CHRONICLES - THE WATERY GRAVE OF AN AMERICAN AND JOHNSON COUNTY HERO HAS BEEN FOUND

NPR reported last August that the wreckage of the USS Indianapolis has been located. The Indianapolis was sunk on  July 30, 1945, just one week before the first atomic bomb was dropped on Japan.  Aboard the doomed ship was Leonard Woods of Wrightsville, Georgia, who remained at radio post as long as  he could.
