A PARTRIDGE IN A CHICKEN COOP - Paul Yopp, a young boy living outside of Dudley, captured a young partridge. He placed the bird in the care of a mother hen, who cared for the foundling as if it were her own. When the bird grew to maturity, it was contented to remain in the chicken yard with the rest of the chickens. The Gazette, Stevens Point, WI, June 19, 1886.
