The Second Dublin Methodist Episcopal Church was dedicated in what was then called West Dublin near the Dublin Cotton Mill Company. The church, located near the water tower at the intersection of Kellam Road and Marion Street, was first served by the Rev. J.L. Scruggs. The dedication was led by he Rev. G.W. Matthews, Presiding Elder, who preached the dedicatory sermon. Dublin Courier Dispatch May 30, 1907.
