THE ET CETERA CHRONICLES - A GPS NIGHTMARE

November 10, 1916

Street name changes.

Dublin once had two named Harrison and two named McCall.  One Harrison street runs from Jefferson Street to Washington Street and is the first cross street after passing the railroad going south.  The other is in Scottsville and has no houses on it.

One McCall Street runs from Taylor (Telfair) Street and runs to the railroad.  It is named for Rev. Norman McCall.  The other is in Jordan's Quarter.

Council voted to name the Scottsville Harrison Street to Graham Street in honor of the Clerk of Council, Graham.  The other McCall street will be named in honor of Police Chief J.A. Flanders and will be Flanders Street.
