THE ET CETERA CHRONICLES - CHERO COLA COMES TO DUBLIN

In 1915 the Dublin Chero Cola Bottling Company purchased the Chero Cola Plant in Dublin.  J.C. Mathis was the manager.  T.J. Kelly came to work for the plant as a young man, served in World War I, and later came back to work for the plant.  He was promoted to manager when Mathis went to Sandersville earlier this year.  Plant capacity is 1000 cases per day, or 24,000 bottles.  The drink was perfected by Dr. C.A. Hatcher in Columbus.
