In Dublin back in the 60s, males shopped at either Toby's Imperial Men's Shop or Dunn's. Never both. If you did, you were thought of as being some sort of a traitor.
Prior to the 1960's I shopped at both. The prettiest sweater I ever had, a reddish orange V-neck, came from there. My Mother saved many of her tips from the Restaurant to buy me that sweater.
