PIECES OF OUR PAST - BABY, IT'S COLD OUTSIDE

As we approach the end of the first month of winter, those of us in Dublin, Georgia can expect the coldest average temperatures of every year for the last 130 years.  From January 10 to January 20 of every year the average temperature low temperature is 34 degrees.

The lowest high temperature during the period was measured on January 19, 1977, when the thermometer  measured 27 degrees as a high for the day.

The coldest cold spell came on January 20, 21, and 22 when the temperatures fell below 10 degrees and down to zero and below on two days in 1985.

So, check your weekly forecast after the rain passes through tonight, the cold weather will finally get here.
