   The New York Cafe, formerly known as the None Such Cafe,  was opened in the fall of 1939 by Angelo Cathechi, a Greek restaurant operator.  Cathechi was instrumental in raising large sums of money to aid his native country of Greece during the early years of World War II.   The New York Cafe closed near the end of World War II>

This is also the location of Ma Hawkins Cafe in the 1940's and 1950's. before she moved two doors down.
